Stone Coated Steel Roofing in Colorado

Colorado's hail is relentless - standard asphalt shingles can dent, crack, and fail under impact. Stone coated steel roofing is engineered specifically for hail-prone climates. The steel core is impact-resistant and will not puncture or split like asphalt. Fortified steel is engineered with reinforced impact resistance and a durable stone coating bonded to the surface, making it even more resistant to hail damage than standard steel roofing. The stone coating absorbs impact energy and disperses the force across a wider area so hail does not crater or gouge the surface like it can with traditional shingles.

Stone coated steel also resists Colorado's intense UV exposure better than asphalt, holds its color longer, and will not curl or deteriorate through freeze-thaw cycles. The material is Class 4 impact-rated - the highest rating available - which may qualify some homeowners for insurance discounts in Colorado. Stone coated steel roofing can last 30 to 40 years compared to asphalt's 15 to 20, making it a smart long-term investment for Colorado homeowners.

Pinnacle Home Exteriors specializes in hail-resistant stone coated steel roofing solutions backed by manufacturer warranty coverage, a 10-year workmanship warranty, and professional installation.

Roof Replacement Guidance

How Do I Know If My Roof Needs To Be Replaced?

Missing shingles, heavy granule loss, repeated leaks, sagging areas, and storm damage are all signs your roof needs a professional inspection.

Your Roof Has Reached the End of Its Expected Lifespan

Older roofing systems become less reliable after years of UV exposure, freeze-thaw cycles, wind, and hail.

Your Roof Is Sagging

A sagging roofline can indicate trapped moisture, decking damage, or structural movement that should be inspected quickly.

Water Has Entered Your Home or Attic

Ceiling stains, attic moisture, and musty smells often point to roof or flashing failure.

Your Energy Bills Have Started to Soar

A failing roof system can allow heat transfer and ventilation issues that make the home harder to heat and cool.

Unified Steel Stone Coated Steel Warranty

Unified Steel Stone Coated Roofing by Westlake Royal Building Products features a 50-year limited, fully transferable product warranty. It includes wind protection up to 120 mph and is backed by Class 4 impact-rated performance and Very Severe Hail classification. Proper installation and maintenance are required. The manufacturer warranty covers the roofing panels themselves and does not cover poor installation. Because of the impact and wind ratings, some homeowners may qualify for insurance discounts depending on their carrier and policy.

Standard Asphalt Shingle Warranty

Manufacturer vs. Workmanship Warranty

Manufacturer warranties generally cover product defects. Contractor workmanship warranties cover installation quality for the period promised by the installer.

Limited Lifetime Coverage

"Lifetime" often applies to the original owner and is governed by the manufacturer's specific transferability and registration rules.

Prorated vs. Non-Prorated

Non-prorated periods offer stronger early protection. Prorated coverage decreases over time and may not cover the full replacement cost.

Common Exclusions

  • Installation errors
  • Extreme weather beyond rating
  • Ventilation issues
  • Tear-off and disposal
